Where is my old Blog gone?

As most of you probably know by now, I've stopped blogging at the beginning of the year. This may have come as a surprise to some of you, but it was just taking up too much time, especially when taking all the various comments into consideration, and I felt my time could be put to better use elsewhere. In any case, I always considered myself a fairly modest blogger, at least by comparison to some of the others out there, and to be honest I never did quite get my head around how some folks manage to dedicated so much time to blogging when there is all this dancing to be had, not to mention all the other normal day to day stuff.

Some of you also asked about what happened to all my previous posts and the simple answer is that I have taken them all down to stop me from being tempted again. Perhaps some time in the future I might take it all up again, but for now I will leave it at that.

Thanks to everyone who was supportive and encouraged me to keep going. I hope you will understand and forgive my decision.

Tango Goals & Pritfalls

Right, as promised and as a parting present in addition to all the other useful Tango information to be found on this site, I have created a new section called 'Guide to learning Tango'

This new section will provide key information for anyone new or fairly recent to Tango with an aim to allow them/you to get started and settled into the world of Tango, provide an insight on how to set personal goals, keep an eye on progress and hopefully avoid some of the dreaded pitfalls that so many seem to fall into. Honestly, if anyone is serious about learning Tango, it's worth asking a lot of questions and conducting sufficient research early on before getting too deeply involved and more importantly before all the bad habits set in, which can (and usually do!) easily end up setting people back for years.

NY resolution 2015

I have decided to focus on more important things in life and sadly Tango blogging has to go.

I will keep the 'London Tango Calendar', 'Milonga Map', 'Milonga Reviews' and also create a new section dedicated to information for anyone new or fairly recent to Tango when I get around to it, but for now I wish you all a Happy New Year and all the very best for 2015!
